Callie House Reparations T-Shirt

This item pays homage to the true Queen Mother of the lineage-based reparations movement. Callie Guy House (1861-1928), was the leader of the National Ex-Slave Mutual Relief, Bounty and Pension Association and organized over 300,000 ex-slaves to sign this reparations petition in 1899 and sued the U.S. government for the $68 million dollars in reparations for the cotton tax that was collected between 1862 and 1868.

She was later sabotaged by three U.S. government agencies and jailed from 1917-1918.

This is a one-sided t-shirt design. The statement on the front of the shirt features first few sentences of the preamble from the Ex-Slave Bounty and Pension Fund petition she had hundreds of thousands of ex-slaves sign.

The Callie House Hoodie is an excellent teaching tool created to bring awareness to the lineage-based reparations history for Black Americans. A portion of the proceeds will support Callie House and lineage-based reparations programming in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area.
